Armchair Swimming

Friday

Today was the day…

I did some armchair swimming. The wind was blowing, the tide was high and the waves were rolling in, so it was easier to lie on my back with my legs in front of me and I swam around like that! I interspersed my armchair gig with some breaststroke but not much crawl. I did manage my 35 minutes and despite the waves, the water was not too cold. It’s so invigorating. I’m wondering if I will be able to continue through the colder months? That remains to be seen.

For the rest of the day, I did a smidgen of work, met friends for tea and had a meeting with Mike and Julian in the guesthouse to see all the little things that still need to be done. All in good time!

This evening we went to a ‘pop-up’ restaurant at Westlake Golf Course for dinner. I’m not sure how often they have them, but their meals were only R75 each, so it was a good deal. We sat outside with a spectacular view…

The birds have been visiting en mass. These little sunbirds are so gregarious and greedy. When they are on the bottle wild horses won’t chase them away (well, maybe wild horses would!). I went out to tip this almost empty bottle so the cap had juice in it and while I was doing the tipping a bird landed on it and didn’t even budge when I spoke.

Sol colourful and amazing.

It’s been a good day.

Luke 10:20

Rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
