And So Spring Sprung

Monday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day you went to school, even though it was the holidays. You chose school, so off you went. You are doing so well. Today in Cape Town, it was the day full on, spring sprung – in fact it may have been an early summer’s day.  There was very little wind, warm sun and blue skies.

This photo was taken when I stood on the mountain on what will hopefully, one day be, Gleneagles Rd.

And looking from my house, that’s where I was standing…It means that, if the road does get built we will have a view of it happening.

I was super busy at work – 9 hours. It’s going to be like this until Thursday this week and next. Fridays will probably be a little quieter.

We’ve watched cricket today – we think South Africa may lose this one, but we will wait to see.

Next Tuesday (10th) David has booked his next blood tests. Hopefully, there will be evidence of dissolving clots. Meantime, he carries on with this regimen of medication. The bottom one offers stomach lining protection.

Today, the washing rack on the balcony showed signs of blowing over. David went outside to prevent it from doing so. Last night he forgot his walking stick downstairs. These little things – tiny little things to most – are leaps in the right direction. He still gets tired, but we are hopeful that he will make a full recovery. He just has to pace himself. Maybe, when Julian comes this week, we’ll all go out for dinner.

Grateful!

Isaiah 11:1

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xxx
