Thursday
Dear Elsie
Today was an awful day. It was not serious awful, it was just stressful awful. We all worked way too hard and had too many extra issues to deal with that left all of us frazzled and me very bad tempered.
On an awful day, one thing is allowed. You can tuck yourself up super early, stay away from everyone and just recover from the frazzle. We woke with no water.
Mike had to drive out the valley to find drinking water for the guests and us. He then worked from 7.30am to almost 5pm on the electrics in the cottage before guests move in tomorrow. He then drove out to find more water. He arrived back absolutely exhausted to hear the SV house’s hot water cylinder has burst. I have worked 9 hours. I’m finished, so I dropped David’s dinner with him, Julian’s dinner with him and when Mike gets home, he will have a quiet evening for us all to recover. In my frustration, I threw a few things that wouldn’t break!
Tomorrow will certainly be better.
Surely grateful not every day will be like this.
Isaiah 26:8
We wait for You.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx
