Ribs! A great LCHF meal, so long as you ditch the chips that usually accompany them. On Saturday evening, Mike & I headed for Seaforth for their Saturday special…
Seaforth is in Simonstown, just past the main town square. Take the first turn to the penguins. This is penguin territory. It’s a magnificent setting…from the car park, this is the view as you walk towards the beach…
The restaurant is just on the right…
Even though there was a slight breeze, we took our seats on the deck, with the best view in the house…
We put in our order for the rib special and while that was being prepared, I went down to the beach to visit what I called Penguin Rock…
By then I spotted Mike waving at me from the restaurant…
… and so back I went to get stuck into the ribs…
We managed 3 racks each. We’ve been to Seaforth before for their special. Sadly, Saturday’s ribs were not quite up to the standard we’ve had before. They were a bit gristly, but we enjoyed them none the less. It was a lovely evening.
So I’ve been reading through the Bible and go to the book of Numbers in the Old Testament. I found another reminder not to complain! The Lord noticed Caleb was different to others when he was sent to spy out the promised land. Caleb saw it was good. He trusted God completely. Caleb stayed positive and really importantly Caleb did not moan and groan like most of his fellow travellers. Numbers 14:24, God is recorded as saying of Caleb: “Caleb has a different spirit and follows Me wholeheartedly…” Whatever is going on in your life, no matter how difficult it is, take up the CALEB CHALLENGE – Trust God completely, stay positive and do not grumble and complain. You will stand out among your friends and work colleagues and God will reward you for your attitude.
God bless you loads!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
Gratitude/Happiness Pic…oh the fun of being given this heat sensitive mug…when I showed it to Mavis (my home help), she clapped and and said Chi chi! Starts out cold and black…
Throw in a teabag and pour in hot water…it goes white…
When it cools down, it returns to black! Very clever!
