The sun rose this morning revealing a beautiful cloudless but chilly winter’s day. We woke early and by 7am I had my computer on and was at work. Apart from those first three hours of work, I followed it up with a cooked breakfast before making a shopping list and heading for the grocery store. Tomorrow Paul and Nadine come for dinner – for those who remember PJ who used to present with me on a Thursday morning on CCFm – that’s Paul who married beautiful Nadine two years ago. They will be in our area tomorrow and contacted us to say so. So excited to have them visit.
The other event this week is that Morgan returns after a month in the USA. We went across to the cottage and checked to see if all was well. We hadn’t been in it since Morgan left. All was well except the fridge needed cleaning, so we got stuck into that, which of course, was not where we ended. Anyway, it’s all ready for her now! 🙂
I did some more work this afternoon and then we went for a walk before having dinner and watching some TV. I’ve just finished tidying up and it’s time to sit down to the blog.
#337 of my 1000 thanks is for almonds. Power packed little nuts that stabilize sugar levels and don’t need any preparation!
Each day has a character of its own. It never ceases to amaze me how fast the time passes… how it was “just the other day” I was getting married….and living each phase of my life. Now I’ve been married for nearly 31 years and in the most amazing phase, where Mike and I have fulfilled our careers, bought the house, raised and educated our children, cared for our parents and now we are pretty independent and able to enjoy each day as it comes.
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
