Today I have tried to get into some sort of routine that works around the load-shedding. I woke early and got on my computer to start working. I worked from about 6-15 am until just before 7-50 am. By just after 8 am I was on the treadmill, my eyes fixed on the traffic lights outside. I was just waiting for them to go off. The load-shedding was between 8 am and 10-30 am, so they said yesterday. I waited expectantly. And waited. And waited. By 8-10 am, I looked up the app and it cheerfully said…
After days of daily power failures, sometimes losing 5 hours of daylight energy, it was wonderful to have the relief of a day with 24 hours of power again.
After gym and a shower, breakfast and a rest, I went to Riana for our Friday meeting. Home just after 1pm and the work began for the rest of the afternoon. This included an hour-long training session for me to learn something new. I printed the three pages of instructions, went through it once, then had a Skype session to find out exactly. Later this afternoon, I tried again but got stuck at one point, so I’ll have to have another look tomorrow to see how it works.
I managed to get some laundry done and Mike and I watched a movie this evening. The weekend is here! I think it is going to be a quiet one. I’ve just been looking up movies on at the moment and may go and see one tomorrow.
Psalm 100:3
Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
