5-17pm
Today has been busy. After the Rise and Shine Show I worked until after 12 and then went to the bank to get a CCFm form stamped. Banks are certainly time consuming institutions. I went into the ‘free parking for 20 minutes’ parking lot and came out 30 minutes later! That’s how long it took me to get from 4th in the queue to the teller and out again! Anyway, it got done and that’s the main thing. Then I nipped to the grocery store to pick up a few things. By the time I drove up my driveway it was 1-50pm! I had to go back to CCFm at 2-30pm to a meeting, so I didn’t have much time.
I put the kettle on, pulled some potatoes out the cupboard & quickly peeled them, made coffee and put the remaining boiling water in the pot. In went the potatoes. Yesterday’s left over stew was soon covered…
By 2-30pm, I had packed my breakfast for tomorrow, peeled Granny a naartjie, had coffee and was on my way back to CCFm. While waiting for the meeting to start, I did show prep. I got home by about 4-20pm, finished show prep and popped the shepherd’s pie in the oven to brown the top! Dinner is now done and I am winding down for the day.
I was looking through the photos on my cell phone and was reminded of one I took yesterday. When we came out to the car park, David looked at the back window of my car and thought I’d put a rubber bug on it, for fun…
Then he saw it move! It was a massive locust, with it’s legs spread out, clinging on for dear life! I tried to flick it off using my wallet, but instead, it climbed onto my wallet. I ended up popping it into the bakkie parked next to my car! It made for quite a sight!
We are now waiting for the rain to come. Another cold front. Another strong north-wester. More rain. We need it. The dam levels below 50% now, so we need some good rain to fill ’em up.
How Big is God? Pastor Jim Feeney reminds us: God is infinite. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-capable. There are no limits restricting God. Yet despite this, to their own harm His followers tend to limit the power of God by erroneous thinking.
Psalm 78:40-43 ...they vexed the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power — the day He redeemed them from the oppressor, the day He displayed His miraculous signs in Egypt, His wonders in the region of Zoan.
Vs. 41, KJV Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and LIMITED the Holy One of Israel.
Don’t limit God. He can do anything!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
