A Messy Rise and Shine Show!

10-35am

A really early blog. This morning I decided on a different breakfast, so before I left for work, I broke two eggs into a microwave proof tupperware bowl, added a dash of cream, a blob of butter and some salt and pepper…

Broken eggsAt work, I gave it a good whisk (with a spoon because I couldn’t find a fork)…looking like this, I put it in the microwave…

Beaten eggsIt takes about a minute and a half, cooked at half-minute intervals, with a whisk in between and you have this amazing result…

Now this is what I call a nice breakfastYum! It was fabulous and filling too. I needed all the energy it would provide because it turned out to be a messy Rise and Shine show!

We had a crisis in the the studio today that resulted in Focus on the Family crashing 10 minutes into the programme.  But, it just so happened, that yesterday when I went to the Frank Retief Radio ministry meeting, I had been given their latest audio CD and it contained the amazing testimony of Lorraine Keet. I popped that in the CD player and we all listened spellbound as Lorraine told her story.

Nothing happens without a purpose. It reminds me of that little saying, “God takes your mess and creates a message. With your test, God creates a testimony. He can take your trial and turn it into a triumph. He can change you from victim to victor.”

I can’t, God can!

Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

My husband, Rob, used to work with Lorraine – is there any way we could get access to her testimony (even if it is not audio) ?

Hello Heather, You can call St. James Church and ask for their recording department and ask for a copy of it to be made. Also Lorraine has an article in the latest Joy magazine with her phone number, so if you can get your hands on that, you can call her directly. God bless. Helga

I did not listen this morning (woke up very late and only got in the car after 09:00, lucky me), but I am sure you handled it like the skilled and talented person God has created you to be. And yes, there is always a purpose in everything, even though we sometimes cannot see it. I do not believe that God caused your system to fail, but we are in the world and the devil will sometimes try and stop something, but what the devil means for harm, God will use for good. Praise God for his love and faithfulness and the unity we have in Christ.
