A Lot of Work

Today was a lot of work day! There have been some changes at the company and as a result we (Riana and I) have been asked to take over some more admin work, albeit possibly temporarily. We had a Skype call with a couple of the managers to explain the process.  That is going to add to my already burgeoning workload. Today I worked for about 6 hours.

Yay!

On the way to gym this morning, there was an amazing double rainbow. Always a sucker for a lovely rainbow, I had to take a photo…

What a pleasure. My ‘never again’ moment.

Other photos on my cell phone at the moment are related to TRUFFLES! With the cold weather (it was 9C coming back from gym), she has been a bit of a pain. We have a box for her which does not hold her attention unless it is lined with copious numbers of ‘used’ clothing. Truffles certainly prefers Mike’s used odour to mine. The  worst was a shirt that had gone through two rounds of golf without being washed. Truffles happily curled herself into a tight ball on top of it and went to sleep…

When she woke up in the small hours of the morning cold, she climbed into bed with us, carrying the shirt smell with her! It’s a bad habit letting her sleep in our bed. She loves it way too much…snug and smug.

Today, I credit Mike with #748 of my 1000 thanks – he expressed his gratitude for our microwave. I agree!

Other news this week is that Stacey has returned to work half days. She had a really good first day, with Elsie having slept close to 7 hours the night before! That helps.

Jeremiah 17:7

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • Fast walk – 30 minutes.
  • Grid – 30 minutes – heart rate at the end 165.  One of the most grueling  Grids I have done. Somehow, on the way to gym, I cut the tip of my right thumb. I don’t know how I did it because I didn’t feel it until I was several minutes into my walk. Suddenly there was blood everywhere – all over my hands, on the treadmill, on my cell phone, on my ear plugs.  At first I couldn’t figure out where it came from – I finally saw what seemed like a paper cut on my thumb. I stopped it bleeding, but in the middle of the Grid it started again, so I had to dash downstairs to the reception to get a plaster. Almost all the exercises were cardio and so I was kaput by the end!
  • Bike ride – 5 minutes.
