A Fab Show, A Surprise, A Farewell

5-50pm

What a varied day it’s been. The day began with an energising, entertaining 3 hours in the studio presenting this month’s Rise and Shine open day. It was fabulous!

Here are: -( from left to right), Janice, Wendy, Ricardo, Estelle, Wendy and Aunty Lilly (who is 85!!!)

I couldn’t believe it – today we didn’t get a photo of birthday boy Richard, so I had to nick one from a previous month. Richard is on the far left and then in the other photo is Michelle and Winnie…

I cannot tell you how fun it is to have loads of listeners in the studio. The next open day is Friday 1st June! Let me know if you would like to come. Come at 7am and leave at 9am.

Then I was in for a surprise. Towards the end of Focus on the Family, I was called to the reception to see someone who had arrived unexpectedly. I greeted the gentleman and asked if he had come for the open day. “No”, he said, “I have come here to bless you.” He had delivered a huge hamper of chocolates and dried fruit and nuts! Oooh, that was lovely. He also left a bag with  two books written by his Pastor and, clearly knowing a bit about me, he left me a couple of word games. I only had about a minute to speak to Andries as I had to get back into the studio. He had been creative with one of the games…

Fun hey! 🙂 There was also a monetary gift…a very generous monetary gift. It blessed everyone at CCFm as they saw how God provides at times of need. I have your CCFm receipt for it, Andries. You came to bless and you did. I pray that you will be hugely blessed in return. Thank you! 🙂

The rest of the morning was spent at Bible study. I love our ladies…

🙂

In the afternoon, it was time to bid farewell to our dear friend Wendy…

John Berry spoke so very well. The sting of death is certainly a lot less when you know where the person is. She may not be here, but she is not dead….Wendy is more alive now than ever! Until we meet her again, we will miss her presence in our lives!

In John 11:26 Jesus says, “Whoever lives and believes in Me will never die”…

…and that’s what I believe.

Have a fabulous weekend! God bless you loads!

From In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
