Yay. Today I got to see the family in Swellendam! We left early and enjoyed sunset on the road…
A chilly morning at 1C …(also not bad fuel consumption!)
We spent the morning working and the afternoon loving on Elsie! She was so funny. I would pull Mike’s cap down over my face and then say ‘where’s Granny?’ and she would bend right down to try to look up under the cap. It had Mike and I in stitches.
She is fascinated with our watches…
We spent into the evening with Adrian and Stacey and then Adrian gave us a ride back to where we are staying tonight. We are trying a new thing. Elsie is now sleeping in her big girl’s room and it is right next to the guest room. I really didn’t want to be showering right opposite her room and have her wake up and disturb the whole family’s night. Stacey had said they really didn’t mind, but I said we need to try different things and we would see if this would work. Our first accommodation fell through so we checked into the local Swellendam Hotel which is very quiet. Considering it is on the Main Rd. and it’s Friday night, you would have thought there would be a bit more activity. I can hear the click click of my fingers on my keyboard, it is so quiet. We don’t have high expectations but perhaps we will sleep better than we thought. Besides I’ve just got out the most amazing shower! 10/10 for the shower!
Psalm 91:2
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Amen!
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
