A Blessing In Disguise…

2-43pm

Almost the end of the weekend and it has been such a busy one, that I feel I need to press ‘re-start’ and have a Saturday and Sunday off from tomorrow! Ha! That’s not going to happen. Yesterday we had an excellent Diabetes Day at CCFm…this was the team that came from Medicross…

Medicross teamWayne took them into the studio for a quick interview prior to the testing…

Radio interview before the day beginsListeners came and had their sugar tested and if necessary had their HBA1C done. Wayne introduced Dr. Wellington who gave a talk and then took questions…

Wayne introducing Dr WellingtonLots of people wanted dietary advice…

Dietary adviceAltogether it was a great success!

Yesterday afternoon and this morning Mike & I wrapped up the Simonstown Golf Championships. With the wind yesterday, the shots were a bit off target, but we enjoyed it none the less…

Mike & Helga ready to goToday was spectacular…

Simonstown Golf Course from the 11th tee box….and play was a lot more consistent!

The only thing was we accidentally left our car lights on, so when we went to come home the battery was flat! After a push start, we headed right towards Cape Point to get a bit of charge going…what a lovely drive…

Towards Cape PointThis is Scarborough on our way home…

ScarboroughThose are today’s gratitude pics! I decided the flat battery was a little blessing in disguise. With windows down, the sun on our faces and breeze in our hair, we barrelled joyously down the Peninsula admiring the magnificence of all of God’s creation.

It was a reminder to me, that things happen in life that are completely unexpected. They come at us, out of the blue, catching us off guard. Today’s was only a dead battery. But sometimes they come with shock and life-threatening concern. If that’s your position right now, don’t panic. Things come unexpectedly to you, but not to God. He knew all along. He has His hand on you and on your future. His future for you is one that is filled with plans of hope and blessing.

Isaiah 41 vs 13 is for you:
For I hold you by your right hand–I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.

God bless you!

You are in His Grip,….securely & permanently – nothing can change that.

Helga xx 🙂
