Not wanting to mislead any with the title of this blog, let me say immediately noBODY has died! But you will not believe what has! “Ah,” they said, “A Russell Hobbs kettle will last a long long time!” Well! It didn’t. Last night when I turned it on, it didn’t come on. Jiggle jiggle. Eventually I got it to boil and that was that. Twas never to boil again!

Back at the store to change it, the lady took it to test it and then we chose another one, paying in a bit on this zooty little number…

We’ll see how long it lasts, but I can say the box and all the packaging along with the receipt is safely stowed. They just don’t make kettles like they used to!

While we were out, we had breakfast and I spotted this…

On the home front, Mike bit into a burger last night and felt something in his mouth was not quite right. An entire crowned tooth came out! So this morning he was at the dentist at 7-45am to have it glued back in. No steak for him tonight!

Riana popped in the other day, bringing Granny a mug with flowers and butterflies on it…she LOVES it!…

Thank you Riana! 🙂

And so it’s a free day at home. I’m going to be doing some reading and try and find a few documents for finally submitting my finances for SARS. Oh, and we also got the 2nd DVD series of Upstairs Downstairs out for our evening entertainment.
