Saturday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day you had a wonderful 6th birthday party. It’s your birthday on Tuesday so today we had your party. It was a lot of fun. We went to the shops quite early…for some essentials…
Then it was home in time for the jumping castle to arrive…
When the children arrived, so the fun began.
Then there was pass the parcel, musical statues and presents to be opened.
There was plenty of food, snacks, braai, marshmallows and of course the birthday cake. A fun time was had by all. I love you Els!
My plan was to drive home this afternoon, but when I spoke to Mike early this morning, he had turned the corner on his nasty bout of Covid and he is now on the mend. I called him again this afternoon and he was about to walk down to the shops. I dissuaded him from doing so, strongly suggesting he needs to rest! He said he would.
Just as well I didn’t drive home. The birthday food had made me decidedly sleepy. I’ll go home tomorrow and get to spend a few more precious hours with the family.
My laptop battery is about to die and I don’t have my charger, so let me wrap this up.
Psalm 115:12
The Lord remembers us and will bless us;
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
