Mike is home. His 6th last day at work is over. That leaves 5!
The next 5 working days are going to fly by. When the days are full, time whizzes by so fast, it’s hard to keep up.
This week will be similar to last – jam packed with activity and the need for good time keeping.
Today, I had an overflow of work that I wasn’t able to do over the weekend. While cooking dinner, I suddenly realised, I hadn’t written my blog for today (or yesterday).
Not that I haven’t been writing. I have written 2 paid articles today on the Maldives.
This is what today looked like for me:
5-15am Mike’s alarm clock went off and we both woke up. Mike dressed and I went to see him out – waving 6 fingers at him.
Then I boiled the kettle, poured hot water into a mug and dropped in a slice of lemon. Taking that upstairs, I climbed back into bed and played a number of moves in my word games. I can’t have my friends wake up to no moves from me! đ
At 6am, my cell phone got put down and I picked up my Bible. That reading took me to about 6-15am, when I got up, put on gym clothes and by 6-22am, I was walking. It is usually a 30 minute walk. On arriving home, I put the TV onto CNN, put the coffee machine on and made myself a fruit salad with lashings of double cream yoghurt and a couple of tablespoons of raw oats. While not Banting, it is guaranteed to keep my tummy happy!
While eating, I watched the first 15 minutes of the news. Then taking my cappuccino with me, I went back upstairs to my desk and turned on my computer.
Turning on the Upwork clock, I worked for 55 minutes before clocking out, grabbing my towel and water and going off to my personal trainer friend for an hour of great exercise.
After that, I stopped by the Mall to pick up something for dinner, came home and got back to work again. After a couple of hours Upwork work, I turned off the clock and started the outstanding blogs on the Maldives. I had a lunch-break and then went back to them. After finishing the second, I emailed them off to the client and got back on the clock to do more work for my primary client which is a wonderful teaching recruitment company, called Edvectus.
Completely forgetting I had not done this blog, I carried on working until Mike came home. Blush – I hadn’t made the bed! I finished up what I was doing online and then went to make dinner.
Once that was done, Mike & I watched a bit of TV before going for a leisurely walk around the block.
Home once more, I got back on the clock to make a business phone call, before finishing this blog!
And that has been a day in my life! đ
James 1:17
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
God can be trusted.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
