“This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord.” 2 Kings 3:18

God is a God of miracles. It does not matter what you are facing, He can come through for you. God knows our needs before we ask them, but He does want us to talk to Him about them. In the days of old, when the Kings were trying to find out if they should go to battle and if God would give them success, they went through the prophets. Loads of prophets were not following God and so the advice they gave the Kings was false and it landed them in big trouble! But Elisha, who says these words, “This is an easy thing in the eys of the Lord,” he was in close contact with God. When the Kings and their forces were without water and in jeopardy of being conquered, they sought out God-fearing, faith-filled Elisha. With a harpist playing in the background, Elisha meets with God who tells him what to do. God would provide water with no rain or wind. And He does!

Acts 14 also gives us insight into God’s provision, but also explaining that it doesn’t come easily. Paul was stoned & dragged out of the city left for dead. Imagine that? That couldn’t have been too easy a pill to swallow. In verse 22 Pauls says, “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.” God goes not promise us a bed of roses when we become Christians. What does happen is that we no longer are dependant on ourselves but on the Creator of the Universe. God upholds us with His mighty hand. He sent Jesus to die for us, so that whatever happens on earth, we may live eternally. It’s not all about hear and now! It’s about the life to come.

Look at the wall around you. Imagine a pencil line running all the way around the wall. Now imagine a pencil dot on that line. That dot represents our time on earth. The rest of the line represents eternity. It’s not about the dot, it’s about the rest of the line. Eternity. Hang on to Jesus – He won’t let you down.

Remain Steadfast, Keep the Faith. Nothing is too hard for God.
