12 noon
This morning my cell phone alarm went off and I leapt out of bed to turn it off. By the time I had done that, my new alarm clock starting buzzing next to my bed! Why two alarms? I wasn’t sure if the new alarm clock would go off, so I set my cell phone alarm as a back up. Now I need to turn them both off until Monday because I’m not in tomorrow. Mike surfaced – seeing he was ‘awakish’ I said ‘Happy Valentine’s Day”. With our focus being on Granny recently, there was no time to do anything for this morning, so that was all I had for him. He hopped out of bed and said, “I am going to make you coffee!” And off he went, returning a short time later with this…
Valentine cappuccino, roses and a scarf! My Valentine look for today:
Happy Valentine’s Day! There are not many men who would get up before 4am to make coffee for their wives. What a treat!
The show was BUSY! But at 9am, it was over and I came right home, via the roadworks…Kalk Bay on Valentine’s Day 2013…
The house was empty house. 🙂 Mavis had to go to the hospital. Mike had taken Granny to the LCH. I tidied up and did some washing. Mike has arrived home and we’ve had tea and are now waiting for my credit card to arrive. Delivery was due between 10 & 12 today, so they are officially late! We want to go out, so they must come now!
I don’t even want to think about the unthinkable tragedy of this morning.
Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Lord, we don’t understand why these things happen. It’s heart-breaking and devastating. But it has happened. All we can do is turn to you and pray for help.
🙁
In His firm Grip,
Helga xx
