Notes From Tim Noakes This Morning…

I took down some of the main points Professor Tim Noakes made about Low Carb High Fat eating this morning…

Key is control of hunger/addictive eating. Sugar addiction stimulates overconsumption of calories.

You have to get some appetite control to lose weight – this  may mean counting calories.
Ketosis is good for healthy people.
Ketosis is not good for type 1 diabetics.
If you have gout, it should pass.
Reflux and indigestion should pass after about a month.
You can eat LCHF with no gall bladder.
You will have less appetite on LCHF.                                          A Low Carb High Fat diet is a great way to prevent (and cure) acne.

Eggs – Free range.
Weighless & Herbalife -are high carb                                         SureSlim is taking steps towards low carb.
Soy milk –  not good – rather use goats milk.
Cut bread – but if you have to have bread use low GI.
Each piece of bread is about 12g carbs.
Eating for your blood type not really worthwhile.
Chicken livers good.
Full double cream yoghurt at Woolworths.
Alcohol is high in sugar, so avoid.
Drink water and maybe milk, not energy drinks.
Cut out all overt carbs cake, biscuits, bread, pizza, pasta, rice, potatoes.
Eat butter, not marg.
You can breastfeed on LCHF.
Replace boxed cereals with eggs and bacon.
Put avo, chicken, cheese in childrens lunchboxes.
Cut out sugar.
Avoid honey.

TinsCorned beef not great because of all the additives. Everything else is good. Other foods mentioned this morning include offal, liver, kidneys and BRAINS! Those are inexpensive options. Fish is great! Bread, in limited quantities – home made with unrefined flour and no additives – the stuff that will go mouldy the next day.

Lots of food for thought there!

Matthew 15:36: Then He took the seven loaves and the fish, and when He had given thanks, He broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
