Today was the day for my 2016 Mammogram. My last one was April last year, but as Riana is here from the UK and had to have hers, I went along and had mine.
The whole process is always smooth and free flowing and friendly. The ladies are so kind and caring. They welcome you with a smile and are very concerned for your well being and comfort. That makes such a difference. .
The Mammo machine is advanced and now 3D, so you get a very close image of the tissue. As I have a number of mammograms on their system, they are able to compare last year’s with this one, so there was no need for an ultrasound.
If you are afraid of having a mammogram, don’t be. It’s all over really fast (about 2 minutes). The waiting for the doctor to read the report takes a lot longer, but you can sit in a comfortable lounge, drink coffee and read one of their magazines.
What better way to reward ourselves than with sushi with friends….
So that was that. Our lives are in God’s hands. I’m planning on being around to at least 90.
Psalm 90:10
“Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.”
My plan is to make the most of 70 or 80 or 90 if my strength endures and more importantly, if God allows. They will quickly pass and I look forward to the flight away. In the meantime, I’m working hard on avoiding too much trouble and sorrow.
So far so good.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
