Larney French Toast Sunday

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today dawned very overcast and cool. I looked out on the flat sea and saw a pod of dolphins just off shore. I rushed to get my camera. This is the problem….you can’t even see them! Those were dolphins I promise.

We decided to forego the beach but instead walked to Harbour Bay and had Julian and David join us for breakfast. I had the larney French toast. It’s really good.

We came home and one of the things I wanted to do is sort out the contents of my desk drawers. Mike was happy to help, so we got it all out, shredded a lot of paper, filed a bunch and put the bare minimum back. That’s one step closer to being organised. I found this photo! David aged 11.

I managed a snooze at lunchtime and then got 3 hours of work done. In the middle, the new guests arrived and have settled in.

The Bible is full of verses to cling to in times of trouble. Throughout my Bible I have little notes regarding David’s Long Covid. He still is not right, but is managing his energy levels better. Here’s one of those verses.

Psalms 59:16
I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

God never sleeps.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
