Tuesday – Heritage Day
It’s crazy how the #I’mStaying Facebook Page has taken off. Just a few weeks and it’s at 150000 followers. It’s just got some national TV coverage as well which will add to its growth…
Great for Heritage Day. So many uplifting stories on it. Stories of simple kindness, acknowledgement of our diversity and commitment to South Africa. The inspiration that this creates results in others not only wanting to share their stories, but also to go and do likewise. It is so wonderful to read such positive stuff on Facebook.
Meanwhile, downstairs, David has set up his kit and is busy testing and doing a sound check with Mike ahead of a couple of gigs for next week.
I was keen to go but the dinner cost was so high, we will choose the next less expensive gig! Good for David though. Ooh, he’s just started a new song I’ve never heard before. Sounds so good. What’s poignant is that he is using a guitar that belonged to Kathryn Swain – she asked that it be given to David. It’s such a nice guitar and sounds so good.
Meantime, work is at an end until next week. In 15 minutes (5pm), I’ll put auto-response on my email and that will be that until Monday. I have spent some of the afternoon packing. It’s quite strange because we are only going away for a few days, yet we are flying for 2 hours and driving 4 hours to get to our destination so it feels like a long holiday.
We are going out for dinner shortly, so I will wrap this up.
Proverbs 8:11
Wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.

Helga xx 🙂
