Today was the day…
The grass got “planted” on the flatlet’s patio. It looks great!
We’ve got a lot more to do, but it’s better than this…
And the artificial lawn is fantastic. Definitely a must for coastal houses.
I worked just over 7 hours. The rentals are full tonight. 5 in the cottage & 2 in the Little Lookout
Today was another glorious day. There was not too much wind. The sea was warm! There was a little bit of swell but it’s always good for me to swim in different conditions.
Mike and I often marvel that we live here. When the sea is sparkling and the sun is shining, it’s easy to imagine that we are on holiday. For richer, for poorer we said on our wedding day. Only on reflection, we concluded that we were poorest when we got married. We had so little and most of what we had was second hand. There was only one way up. When it comes to money, Mike and I have pretty much been on the same page from the get-go. I liked to save and was never a big spender. Mike was the same. I would be inclined to take more risks than Mike but his risk-averse nature has certainly got us to where we are today. One particular Bible verse comes to mind..
Isaiah 26:12
LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
That’s the truth.
