Windy Days

Wednesday

The wind has started to pump and it’s not due to stop for some time. This is the wind forecast for Fish Hoek…

It’s going to be breezy! Meanwhile, the temperature has been up and it has been very humid. I’ve done a lot of work today and have had the fan to keep me cool.

This afternoon Mike and I went down to Echo to see progress. They have finished the second level back wall. This is what it looks like from the very back of where the house will be….our  floor  will go over a  beam  that will be on top of the brick wall…

And this is from the top of the stairs….the wood boxing is for the back foundations…

This was the top of the stairs…

And remember this photo…

I think I must get David and Mike up there so I can take another! On second thoughts, I don’t think I will be able to see them. I’ll try take one from the steps..

Today a pile of OSB boards arrived. Each one was carried up to the basement.

I’m learning what it takes to build a house, although a lot of work happens while we are not looking,  like all the drainage pipes that have been put in. It’s all fun to watch.

Psalm 4:7

You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wind abound.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I still didn’t get to gym. I felt I had gone two steps forward yesterday and one step back today. I did do some Mall walking though.

Braces:

1 year and 63 days.
