What the House Will Look Like

Thursday

It’s another day that has just zipped by. I started working at about 7am and worked on and off for most of the day, although my hour count is only just over 7 hours. Early this afternoon Werner came and we had at least an hour-long meeting. Mike being the designer, electrician and lead decision maker has a list of things he has to do. He needed a measurement, so when I had finished working, we went down to the site (it was the third time he had been).  The cladding for the lower ground floor bathroom has arrived…

This is the bathroom which will be clad…

This is the lower ground floor, aka basement. Looking outside the door, we have a bit of an access problem…

It’s going to be interesting to see how and when the big rocks are dealt with.

Meanwhile, the light steel frame company have nearly completed the final design. Bottom two floors are done…the lower ground floor (basement) has all its framing. The ground floor will start having its installed possibly tomorrow. The steel is on site.  This is what the house will look like…well the framing without the external cladding. It’s its skeleton but it gives you a good idea of what it will look like.

The steel has been ordered for the top two floors and the roof but it has not yet been manufactured.

Hectic hey.

It’s all coming to life. It’s like having four flats. A bed sitter at the bottom, one bed roomed apartment on top of that, Mike and mine above that and Julian’s at the top.  It’s been no small task and to think Mike is doing all the electrics. 😲 Time to call for some help I think.

And time for me to hit the hay!

Psalm 4:8

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

A lovely verse.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
