Weigh-In Day….No Scale Stress!

1-48pm

So today, before I went to gym, I climbed on my home scale and to my ABUNDANT joy, I was fully under 70kg!

Weigh in 69kgI was so happy! Joyfully, I went off to gym, where the scale is electronic and always weighs about 2kg more than mine. I expected to be 71kg or even (hopefully) 70.something! But alas, the best I could get out of it was 71.5kg which is more than I was 2 weeks ago! Ha! It is what it is! Instead of going by the gym scale, from now on, I’ll go by mine! 🙂 I’m feeling great, my clothes are looser and I’m really happy, so there is no room for scale stress! 4kg to go. I can see 65! The main plan is just to carry on going. Eating low carb  & exercising 5 hours a week. SiMpLe!

Apart from gym, today, my first port of call after the show was to meet with Jonathan Rens to record Saltworks. He’s been going through the Biblical view on WORK and tying it in with the Lord’s Prayer. It was an amazing hour of recording, during which we did 6 x 5 minute slots. God’s Word is so powerful. My take home lesson is that we are made in God’s image. God worked – we must too.

Jonathan Rens and IAfter that I went home, via Olympia take away coffee shop…

Inside Olympia KBYesterday, after our walk over Boyes Drive we had some of their coffee. It was SO strong, it had me buzzing like the energizer bunny all afternoon. Today, with gym ahead, it was just what I needed…

Truth coffeeThe caffeine high raced me through my gym workout. I ran the kilometre warm up in 5 minutes 30 seconds which for me is blisteringly fast!

Today in my Bible reading, I read the well known story of Jesus being asleep in the boat when a storm blew up.  The storm was actually referred to as A Furious Squall! I learnt that those closest to Jesus were not exempt from fear and trouble. The disciples & Jesus were in a boat – if it wasn’t dark – it soon would be. Jesus, tired from the events of the day, put His head on a cushion in the boat and went to sleep. All the disciples were trying to get this boat to the other side of the lake. It became harder and harder – as the wind picked up, the sea swell rose and soon the waves were breaking over the boat. In Mark 4 verse 37, it says it was ‘a furious squall’…imagine a massive storm out at sea and being caught in it? Fear! And all the time, the Leader, the Captain of the ship is sleeping! The disciples were petrified they would all die. They woke Jesus with the words, “Don’t you care?” (verse 39). He got up, rebuked the wind & said to the waves, “Quiet! Be Still!” And they were! Jesus is never far from you. When you are in a furious squall, He will always be there and soon He will quieten your storm and calm waters will appear again. Have faith today, my friend. Betters days are ahead! Trust in Jesus & He will see you through any difficulty you are facing.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
