We Already Have a SAfrican in the Wimbledon Finals

Meet Raven!

This is Raven Klaasen and he is a South African tennis player who has excelled in doubles. Today he and his doubles partner Michael Venus (from New Zealand) went through to the Wimbledon Men’s Doubles Finals!

Here are today’s results and the line up for the Saturday final…

So they play Bryan and Sock on Saturday – that’s going to be a tough match.  If Kevin Anderson beats John Isner tomorrow, we will have two South Africans in the Men’s Wimbledon finals for 2018. Isn’t that a fabulous feat?! I’ll be watching.

Today has been a great day. The rain came down and filled up the tanks. Cold weather has also set in and I’ve taken my laptop back to bed with me! I didn’t have too much work to do today, but I got a few hours in.

One of the problems with doing so much gym and the cold weather is that I get so hungry. I could eat all day if I didn’t put a stop to it. That’s what I am trying to do now. I’m trying to put the brakes on which I was quite successful in doing today.

As I write there is a spectacular winter sunset. It’s impossible to capture the sheer beauty of it in a picture…God’s spectacular artwork…

#720 of my 1000 thanks – the other day I was driving back from gym when I saw a team of street cleaners.  I found myself saying thank you for them. We take it for granted that our streets are cleaned. It is only if they weren’t that we would notice an increasing amount of litter.

Job 12:10

In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • 30 minute fast walk – 3km
  • The Grid – my heart rate was 155 at the end.
  • 5 minute cycle to cool down.

I noticed one of the women who does the grid with me had lost a stack of weight. Her name is Alexander. She was looking fabulous. She said she had lost about 30kg since she had her baby, but 7-8kg in the last couple of months since she had been coming to gym and doing the Grid.  Go Alex!
