Trespassers

This morning, after the lovely rain last night, Mike and I put on our old tackies and headed to behind our house to see if our trespasser had passed by. He had. Fresh footprints of the familiar shoe very recently left their mark. They didn’t seem to have gone up to our wall. It appeared two people had walked past going away from Fish Hoek. As the ground was wet it was easy to follow the them and so we did, all the way up to the main intersection nearby. Later in the day we returned but there was nothing new. I got the impression that they may have lost interest in our house and gone off to find easier pickings. We will remain vigilant.

While we have been out walking this week, I have seen a couple of signs…

And usually followed by something like this…

This morning in my quiet time, as I prayed, I find myself praying these words…

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us.

My sin is different to my trespasser’s sin, but it is sin none the less and I need God’s forgiveness as much as he does.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

I need that.

So this is a very late blog. I’ve done 9 hours of work, been to my ladies meeting, walked, eaten and now I’m sitting writing the blog in front of Mike’s monitor (we haven’t replaced the TV) as we watch Kevin Anderson in the semi-final at the US Open tennis final. He’s looking good. I hope he wins and goes through to the final which will be to play either Nadal or Del Potro. Exciting times!

#412 of my 1000 thanks is that I have finished a chunk of the paperwork for the upcoming interviews.

I must try get some rest this weekend. Monday & Tuesday I am in Durban.

These are the days! I’m glad to be part of them.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
