Touristy Things in Cape Town

This weekend we have done some touristy things in Cape Town. On Saturday evening, we headed into the Waterfront and went on the Cape Wheel. You get 4 and a half rotations for your R100 (pensioners = R60!) The Wheel is 40 metres high…

There was no queue, so we just paid and climbed in an air-conditioned cabin that comfortably seats 4. The view from the top is absolutely breath-taking, especially towards Table Mountain….

We live in such a beautiful city! Wait, I’ve said that before. Looking down from the top, you feel how high you are….

Waterfront from the Cape WheelIt’s worth doing at least once!

This morning, I took a few hours off work and Julian and I went to Simonstown (actually it really is Simon’s Town) for breakfast. This was the view…Simonstown harbourWe then headed for Silvermine Nature Reserve and walked to the lookout point, overlooking our beautiful Fish Hoek Valley…this is looking towards Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town…On top of the world - view towards Fish HoekAnd this is the view of Longbeach and Chapman’s Peak…

Don’t look at the problems in our country – look at the possibilities.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

And now it’s back to work for me. 🙂

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
