Tomorrow I Hope To Swim!

Tuesday

Today was the day…

Mike and I went and bought winter exercise kit and I got my new long-sleeved swimming costume. There was criteria. I wanted a very bright colour and I didn’t want an eye watering price. The long sleeve and long legged one – ie the spring suit was R2000! That was for me eye-watering. Mike tried to convince me but it was not a bright colour so I counted that one and instead I got this one. Long arm sleeves and no legs. It was about R600.

And what’s fun is that it is a Lizzy costume which will always remind me of my Mom.

Mike, meantime, is now also ready for running this winter….

It was a good shopping trip.

When I woke up this morning, it had been raining. I sat for a short while on the balcony breathing in what can only be described as ‘fresh’. The smell of recently fallen rain on lush vegetation. The eastern sky was cloud covered…

This morning, we went for a walk to the end of the beach and back. That always takes an hour. With it being full moon at the moment, when it’s low tide, it’s super low and that was the case today…

Shark nets ready to go out.

I worked all morning before our shopping spree. While taking a break, I noticed some movement in the water. It looked too small for a whale. I grabbed the binoculars and scanned the ocean. Suddenly, the object of my curiosity rose to the surface. Not one, but four frolicking seals played happily in flat water. They seemed to be having a grand old time.

This evening, we went to the Berettas for an early dinner – one of our favourites – spaghetti bolognaise!

It’s been a good Freedom Day. This is the day Adrian and Stacey met for the first time – 27th April 2007.

Luke 1:78-79

Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to guide us to the path of peace.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
