Time Marches On

Friday

Today was the day…

We overslept a bit – I only woke up at 7:15am. We ended up leaving for the beach after 8am. I swam to the barrel as well as to the lighthouse. It was a good swim. I felt I’d swum for miles, but it was only 1.5km or so my watch says. I don’t really know if I can believe the distance cited on my watch – I can’t imagine I really swam 1.5km.

This morning I worked and then this afternoon, I cleaned the cottage ahead of guests arriving tomorrow. I got it in mind to set the table for two.

It’s ready for their arrival.

After that was done, Mike & I drove to Muizenberg to pick up something from Wayne. He also makes Tide clocks, so we may go back tomorrow to buy one of those. It was good to see him again.

On Monday we celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s our 35th. What happened between 25 & 35? The last ten years seem to have flown by. Time marches on. Nothing can be done to stop the passing of time, so we are trying to appreciate every single moment with each other.

Romans 8:37

Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
