The Water Bill Arrived

The water bill arrived in the mail today…well it is not only the water bill…it’s the rates and taxes but includes the water breakdown. I could not believe it. With it being winter (although for the last week it hasn’t felt like it), I have been having a regular shower instead of using tank water. I expected our water usage to go up as a result, but over this last month, it has gone down! Only 69 litres a day – that’s between three of us, although our tenant Stuart was away for about half of the 29 days. We could also have been in Swellendam for a few nights as well. Still, it’s probably the lowest we’ve been.

We’ll see what the next one looks like. Also notice the R100 extra as a fixed basic charge. That’s new.

#733 of my 1000 thanks – 69 litres of water per day. That really amazes me.

Today was a regular Tuesday. I got a nice balance between work and rest. I got hold of the cattery and have booked a spot for  Truffles for three nights, even though we are only going to Swellendam for two. I need to book her in the day before we leave because we are heading out early. She just ran across my keyboard and hit the flight mode button so I promptly lost the internet!

Time passes by so quickly. It is difficult to slow it down and try to embrace each day, but that is what I strive for. Learn to be content today!

Matthew 6:25,27

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life….can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

For these are teh days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
