The Road Behind us is Open

That took me by surprise today. Often when I’m working there is a bit of glare from the window, so I keep the curtains closed. This afternoon I opened them and suddenly noticed there were cars on the road behind us. We will no longer be able to walk down the middle of it…

It was 22nd March 2017 when I watched the trees being cut down…

This was my office view before the trees went (January 2017)

This is it now…our trees have grown a lot.

We knew they were getting close to road opening when they painted the road lines. What surprised us is that despite the traffic being a little closer to our house, the bank seems to deaden the sound and the car noise isn’t very intrusive. I think if I hadn’t opened the curtains I wouldn’t have noticed.

Today I’ve only done about 4 hours of work. I woke early, made coffee and got straight to it. I worked until just before 7am when I went to Pilates. Came home, had a shower and did some more work until just before 11am when I went to my ladies group. This afternoon, I did a little bit more work before going shopping.

Tomorrow is Freedom Day in South Africa, but because it is a Saturday it won’t feel too much like a holiday. One thing about 27th April that I will never forget is it is the day Adrian and Stacey met. It’s 12 years ago tomorrow that we went to the airport to pick Adrian up from the airport.  A special day.

I am ready for the weekend and it looks like it will be a sunny one…

Psalm 33:22

May Your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in You.

Amen.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
