The Plan Was For a Simple Day

Tuesday

Today was the day…

That went from simple to really busy.  I didn’t have too much to do, I thought, and I think I have only worked about 4 hours, but it was full and crazy busy in the end.

First, I said goodbye to the guest in the Little Lookout.

Then I showed a neighbour through the cottage as he may need it for two weeks late next month.

After that I had coffee with Julian and then said goodbye to him. He won’t be back for three weeks.

I went back to work and was gearing myself up for a 1pm facial appointment when, at 12:35pm, we got a booking for TODAY. I didn’t know I had the ‘instant book and come today’ option on for the Seaview Apartment, but clearly I do. The guest booked but had an issue with the payment going through so it said she had 24 hours to pay. That won’t work because she was due to arrive today. She has to pay before arrival. By 9 minutes to 1pm, it had been sorted, I had her on Whatsapp and was arranging a time for her to arrive. The Seaview Apartment was clean & Courage had gone in to clean the windows, clean the braai and spray Q10 on a squeaky door.  All would be well, but there was some stress right there.

I made my 1pm appointment. It was a ‘super’ facial. You can’t turn back the clock but it feels wonderful afterwards.

Home by just after 2:30pm, did a bit more work and then the finishing touches to the unit and guests arriving imminently. They are here for 5 nights so that was worth the run-around.

We did a bit of a spring clean today as well. Some of the indoor pot plants have been taken outside and repotted. Courage cleaned our balcony and some of our windows. We did 3 loads of washing. Mike bought a new orchid for our bathroom. It’s beautiful.

This morning was very overcast but by lunchtime, the sun had come out and now it’s a lovely evening. It looks like it may stay like this for the rest of the week, although Thursday may be a little windy. It’s soon going to be time to get back to our daily swims.

Shew, a busy day comes to an end. Time to let the guests in and have some dinner.

Proverbs 24:14

Wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
