The Last Thing…

Friday

This is the last thing I have to do today. Put the blog out and then I can go to bed! I’ve got into a bad sleeping routine, where I wake up around 3 or 4am and can’t sleep. I get up and do random stuff like Sporcle, where I try to remember the capitals of Africa (rather dismally I’m afraid!) This was my first shot in years, so I think I surprised myself in getting almost half. I couldn’t remember some of the obvious ones, like Mbabane, but it was 3:30am! 🙄

Julian arrived last night so we went our for breakfast this morning. I then returned home to work. Mike went to the site and found the spot above where the bathroom light in the basement will be and started to chisel. Success! He repaired it and now we will have a spot light in the basement bathroom!

Julian and I in the basement…today…

And on 8th November!

I think we may have to start taking photos of the two of us on the next level up.

Later this afternoon we walked down to the Galley for dinner. The kayaks were out on what was a very windy day.

While we were at dinner, there were a couple of guys practicing their paddling. They would launch and paddle like crazy and try to get a little way out before coming back in. Most of the time they capsized. The sea was so rough and on occasions the due were unceremoniously dumped into the water. They did manage one or two full circuits. It was most entertaining to watch!

And now I’m off to bed….hopefully, I’ll sleep through!

Psalm 19:8

The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
