Today I met my friends to celebrate Melanie’s birthday. She now lives up the West Coast and came into town to join us. It was wonderful to see her and to celebrate with Sushi and Carrot Cake. Riana bakes an amazing gluten-free carrot cake that is a winner….Jo took the photo…
Mike and I had met Julian and David for breakfast, but because I knew sushi was coming, I only had water! It was worth it! That cake though…shew – it’s a winner.
I came home just after one and was so full and so sleepy, I had a short snooze. Then I worked for a couple of hours.
Julian arrived at 5-30pm. We drove back to Fish Hoek and walked to Harbour Bay where we met Julian’s friend, Carol for dinner. Mike met us there. Carol’s was Michelle – she was a very close friend of Julian’s until her untimely death a few years ago. We had a lovely dinner together. I had cob and salad.
After coming back to our house for coffee, Julian has just left.
It’s the weekend and I’m looking forward to it.
