Sun Valley Pond 2017-2018

We haven’t gone down to the Sun Valley pond for ages. The last time I took a photo of it was back at the end of January and it looked like this…

This evening Julian and I took a walk down there and I took a photo. I found that exactly a year ago, on 22nd June 2017, I had also been down there and so I have a comparison…it’s looking a lot healthier this year.

The Western Cape dam levels this morning (22nd June)  were 41.5% compared to 38.1% on Monday (18th June) and a year ago they were a depressing 23%.

How grateful we are!!

#698 of my 1000 thanks is for rising water in the dams and ponds. More rain is forecast for tomorrow! Grateful!

Today I didn’t go to gym, but met my friends to celebrate Riana’s 50th birthday….we had a great time! Pity Heidi and Linda had left before we got the photo done!

This afternoon I had a SLEEP! Yip! Just 3o minutes. It was because last night I woke up at half past midnight with my heart pounding. I again googled “heart pounding – menopause!” It is so very comforting. I read all the dreadful stories of endless medical checkups and various treatments and was reminded this is all hormonal. My oestrogen levels are on the bottom of the ocean. No doubt in the days ahead they will start to rise a bit and I will feel better. In the meantime, have a magnesium pill Helga.  The sleep did the trick. I woke refreshed and ready for some work.

John 14:26

The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my Name will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

We need this wisdom.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
