Stained Glass Windows

Tuesday

Today was the day…

The Stained Glass Windows got tacked into place. They will be taken out so they don’t get broken with things coming and going, but they look great! It was a project Mike worked on this weekend and got finished in time for Julian’s arrival this evening. Julian didn’t know Mike was working on them.  Mike making the frames…

Checking it fits…

The frames got a few coats of varnish and were then taken to site and put in position.  Mike carefully put the windows in.

They look very good! The frame around them will be white which will match the other windows. They can be enjoyed from both the stairway and the passage behind.

I’m so pleased to see them being used. Julian bought them from Riana who had bought them from friends. We had them for best part of 4 years planning on using them when we built. Suddenly, there they are and they look perfect, especially when the light is on behind them. They will give all of us a lot of pleasure.

I got some work done today, had a swim and a haircut. Then I did the airport run and took Julian straight to Echo. Other things are happening…Mike and Courage working on the island structure.

Cupboards have been put in the scullery..

And the side balcony has had the poles put in for the balustrade…

Maybe we will be in by the end of October!!

Psalm 43:5

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Saviour and my God.

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
