So So Grateful

This morning when Mike woke up he could see the stems of the roses! We have a vase with eight (artificial) red roses. When Mike’s vision was deteriorating, he would look at the roses and comment that they were just a blur and he couldn’t count the stems. This morning when he woke up, the roses were far sharper and he could count the stems. The injection is beginning to work!

#501 of my 1000 thanks is for that improvement. So so grateful. We have been expressing our gratitude and relief all day. He is feeling far more confident that the eye sight in his left eye may return altogether.

Hardship comes to people in different forms. No one is exempt.

Today I saw a notification on Facebook of the Willis Clan. They shot to fame in 2014 on America’s Got Talent when they sang Favourite Things

I was hooked. I followed their progress, joined their Facebook pages and watched them when they were on TLC. Such a great family.

Then in September 2016 came this bombshell.

I felt sick.

Brenda Willis, the mother of the 12 and wife of Toby Willis closed down all their social media sites as well as their website and moved her family entirely out of the public eye. The legal proceedings had to take their course. Toby Willis pleaded guilty. Earlier this year, he was jailed for 40 years. He will only be released when he is 87.

Since then, the family have slowly started to come back into the public eye.  Their Facebook page is back up….

Their website is back up and there are performances planned for 2018. They are coming back stronger, eager to continue performing and their Mom is fully behind them.

They have many fans. I’m one of them and I’ll be watching.

Isaiah 41:13

For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Our (in the light of the above – very minor)  water woes continue. The water department still has not returned to replace the water meter. It’s still turning! Today we went online to find what the status is of our fault claim. To our fury, it said it was ‘resolved!’ Not it’s not! We promptly logged another.  I guess we can expect another week of waiting and running inside and out turning the water on and off every time we want to use it.

Today was, none the less, a good day! I had an hour and a half chat with Riana in London.  That was fun!

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
