Sleepless in Cape Town!

Wednesday

Today was the day…

…after I had a terrible night’s sleep. I woke up at 1:30am and went back to sleep after I heard the clock strike 4am. I don’t know why I couldn’t sleep. Of course, when I finally fell asleep again, I slept later than usual and woke up groggy and like a bear with a sore head! But I did notice the sunrise…

We didn’t go for our morning jaunt to the beach.

I worked all morning and then had a trip out with Julian to pick up a chair….only to find that particular shop is closed on a Wednesday. When we peered through the window, it looked like the chair was sold. We went to another store and found a really nice headboard, so we bought that and had it delivered. Now the cottage main bedroom has a headboard. We are slowly edging our way towards completion.

Mike and I sat on the balcony for tea. It was good just sitting and staring.

Altogether I worked just over 6 hours. Mike and I did a quick walk to the Glencairn lookout and back.

Then it was dinner time. Now Julian and Mike are watching a documentary and I am going to shower and get ready for an early night.

Romans 14:19

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and mutual edification.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
