Satisfying Thursday

Thursday

Today was the day..

The wind blew – we didn’t swim and I don’t think the wind will be any gentler tomorrow.

It was a satisfying day because:

  1. I did almost 9 hours of work. It was fast-paced and productive, which made it fulfilling.
  2. I welcomed Melanie to the Little Lookout. A new guest is always enjoyable.
  3. I changed the linen & towels in the Seaview Apartment.

And when that was done, I was sitting down to do this blog, when I suddenly heard a siren very close by. To my surprise a fire engine drove past. That was worrying. With a stiff south-easter, we don’t want a fire south of us. Mike and I went to investigate. It turns out there was a medical emergency. When I got to the house, a group of people were in the swimming pool. A person looked like they had been stretchered out and were being taken into the house, making it look like a possible near-drowning. From the distance I stood, it looked like a little girl, but when the drama had ended & I got to speak to a family member, he said it was a 29 year old man. What exactly happened, I don’t know. Gratefully, it’s not a common occurrence on our street.

Coming home, the light was failing and it was loadshedding, so as we were arriving at our front door, the solar lights of the hand-rails came one. Did you know we have hand rails most of the way up the stairs now?

The lights are a great help when guests arrive home late.

I sense the weekend coming.

Psalm 68:5

Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in His holy habitation.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
