Regret & Redemption

Sunday

After quite a busy morning, I ended up in bed this afternoon watching an episode of Long Lost Family. Tissues were required! It was so moving to hear the stories of regret – mistakes made – guilt – emotional pain – decades that pass – and then REDEMPTION! The two stories that make up this Long Lost Family were particularly moving.

So heart warming. * I just realised I wrote about this Long Lost Family in a blog just over two years ago. I knew I’d seen it before, but I watched it again all the same!

This morning I went to gym early so I could take the afternoon off. Got home in time to shower and then Julian arrived. We had breakfast together. I dropped Mike home and then took Julian to the airport. Mike organised lunch which was wonderful. He spoiled me and I didn’t have to lift a finger! I had a snooze and then Mike and I walked around the block. Another cold front is on its way so we are expecting more rain. I think it is mainly coming in tomorrow night and on Tuesday. We are grateful. The dam levels are rising fast.

I’ve written before about the house down the road that has an interesting group of people living there. It’s the one that had the couple living in the car on the street. Well there’s been some developments. The car is still there, but now, instead of it being on the road, it’s in the garden. Pulled up inside the property.  AND, the occupants are busy erecting a wooden shed to the side of the house. We have seen the shell of a shed there before, but now they have patched it up with more wood and it’s coming together with some windows as well. Interesting property this.

So now the owner has three bedrooms occupied (perhaps she is in one of them), the stoep may have someone hanging out there, the garage has someone living it and there will be the shed. How the plumbing is organised I do not know. This house is the same design as our original house so we are familiar with the layout. There is only one internal bathroom and an outside toilet. Anyway, it’s certainly looking quite colourful.

I’m expecting this week to be exceedingly quiet as far as work goes. Also my ear is getting better. Onto two drops twice a day now.

It’s been a good weekend!

Matthew 28:20

Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym: I cycled 15 miles in an hour (the bike was set to miles so miles it is!). Then I did about 25 minutes of weight machines – maybe a little less.
