Perfect Day for Hiking

Saturday

Today was the day…

….that was windless and overcast – it was a perfect day for hiking. Our choice was Kalk Bay. We decided to walk the contour path from Kalk Bay to Clovelly and back over the Saddle down Trappies steps. From our house, we can see this route so it was a treat to walk it.

We first went up Trappies steps, but then cut across to the contour path.

The contour path above Kalk Bay – it was easy walking…

View of the harbour from above the fishermen’s flats…

Walking above BI, where Mike spent 3 important years of his life (1977-1979)

Edging towards the Fish Hoek side…

And soon our house came into view…

Overlooking Fish Hoek beach…what a view. Does anywhere in the world get better than this?

Overlooking Fish Hoek and the wetlands…

Part of the path above Clovelly was very easy going…

On the Clovelly side, overlooking the golf course.

And then back up the saddle and down Trappies to our start…

It was just under 4km and took us a very leisurely unrushed 2 hours. Such a wonderful morning walk.

From there we went shopping and got home around 2pm in time for a video call with Stacey.

Now it’s time to make dinner – the Berettas are coming.

Isaiah 46:4

[The Lord says,] “Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
