Patio Done For Now

Wednesday

Today was the day…

Courage finished the patio. It is as done as it’s going to be until next year. At least there is not sand blowing everywhere.

From the front door this morning…

Courage working on the grass…

All finished. From the front door….

And from the side balcony…

The surrounding walls have to be finished, but at least the paving is down!  Artificial lawn is the only way to keep it green in these coastal conditions! Today we said goodbye to Courage. Tomorrow is a holiday and Friday he heads for Johannesburg for Christmas. He’s only back next year.

This morning dawned very still and the sea very flat. The shark net was put out quite early, so we were down there by 8am and I swam almost 2km. It took me a while though. There was a bit of rain which added to the experience! The showers at the beach are operational again which is great for us – being able to wash off the salt after our swim. I don’t think we will be swimming tomorrow because the wind is expected to pick up.

I did a few hours of work and some shopping. While I will be working until next Thursday, it’s quite quiet.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!  This is just too cute. Stacey said they decorated the tree and then Elsie spent the rest of the day taking  off the decorations and putting them back on again! My kind of girl! I just love this photo!

1 Corinthians 15:10

By the grace of God, I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
