Orthodontic Visit

Tuesday

Today was the day..

I saw the orthodontist. I was supposed to see him three weeks ago but it was postponed on account of the pandemic. The schedule was for him to make an adjustment (three weeks ago) and then I would see him again mid June. At that time, he would decide if I was ready for surgery. Instead I saw him after 9 weeks and today he said I was ready for surgery!  I had a laser scan done – the images of which will be sent to the surgeon. The surgeon will need to motivate the  hospital to allow me to have this elective surgery. The hospital will give permission only if their Covid situation is not critical. The orthodontist did say that the surgeon had operated on one his patients so it looks like it may be possible. I guess I’ll find out in the next couple of weeks. I need to get this done as soon as possible because as the Covid crisis continues to escalate in the city, all elective surgery may be put on hold. That means that I could still be sitting in braces in a year’s time😲. I am ready. When I have the surgery, I probably won’t be able to blog for a day or two. I think it’s one night in hospital.

Courage came today to put the tiles on the replaced bath. The builder didn’t want the job so they told insurance to pay us out. That needs one more days work, then we can get the plumber back to put in the basin and then finally the job will be done.

Winter has arrived. It’s much colder. Our tanks are overflowing with the rain. Everything is beginning to grow. I’ve just turned my electric blanket on and put my pajamas in my bed to warm them up.

I worked for about 3-4 hours.

We went to see Echo progress and chose cornices.

And I found this great quote by Winston Churchill….

We keep going.

Psalm 17:6

I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
