Night Visit to Echo

Monday

Today was the day..

I worked 7 hours. After dinner I said to Mike I had to go and do my blog and I’ve got nothing to say except I worked 7 hours. He said, ‘let’s go to Echo!’

So we did a night visit to Echo. Two of the workers had moved onto the site for lock down level 4. When that was lifted and we moved to lock down 3, all construction could start again, so they could move home. This gave us the opportunity to go into the basement where they had been staying. It’s a large useful space that can be configured in a few different ways. It’s close to being finished, but those final details are falling down the order of priority because of what is going on further up the build. We walked through the next floor as well and then by torch light went up to our floor.

It was amazing. With a storm expected to come through in the next few days, Werner has put the boarding on the outside of the framing already. He’s not cutting out the windows until the storm has passed.

All the walls are up for our floor so we can see exactly the size of each space and how it will all work. Mike’s done a fabulous job with the design. It was such fun seeing it on what is a still calm early winter’s night.

There’s still a long way to go but it’s going quite quickly now.

I meant to include in yesterday’s blog that I Skyped with Stacey and Elsie. She is too cute. She can’t say S, so she refers to herself as El. She loves playing with avocado pear pips, so I kept a few and when we Skype, I show her mine and she shows me hers. Then I do a whole lot of activities with mine and she copies me. I’ll  hold them to my cheeks and she does the same and then put them on my head and she follows suit. After we said goodbye, she took the phone to Stacey and said, “More Granny”. 😍🥰 Heart melting stuff!

We need to ride out the storm.

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

We can have confidence when we pray.

The best is yet to come. We’ve got to look forward.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
