Moving Forward

With the water crisis in Cape Town, we shelved our plans for building on the mountainside. They are on the shelf but not over forever. This week, we moved forward on plans to finish the plans for our current house. There  are bits and pieces that have not been signed off by council and so we contacted someone to do that. We are also thinking of building, if we can, a single garage on our house to become a storage place for Julian’s books.

It was really helpful having a mental break from planning the mountainside house. I think we got bogged down with details and difficulties.  Slowly movement forward on this project may start to happen over the next few months.

I told Mike today that if we every do build on Echo, I want some afternoon sun in my bedroom. Our current bedroom faces north-west and in an autumn/winter afternoon it’s a beautiful place to be.

#629 of my 1000 thanks is for a sun-filled bedroom. Today I had a nap and really appreciated it.

The other thing that happened today was we picked two of the three apples on our potted apple tree. They were so sweet and tasty…

I didn’t do too much work today, but will catch up tomorrow.

Psalm 116 :1-2

I love the Lord because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.

Wow, there’s a sermon in there. Our Lord God is bending down to listen to us. If I don’t pray, I miss out.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • Fast walk – 30 minutes.
  • Grid – 30 minutes – it was grueling this morning. It had a lot of cardio and an enthusiastic instructor that kept us going!
