Mooching on the Mountain

In this instance to ‘mooch’ is to wander aimlessly. We weren’t quite aimless, but we did wander over the mountain above Highway and Echo Roads in Fish Hoek,  looking to see if there was any chance a rough track could be fashioned from one of the existing roads to the plot where we intend to build.

It can’t.

But we got some good photos and the views were great. Mike mooched on ahead of me…

Nice views…

Spring has sprung..

We found quite an interesting place. This house has 100+ steps going up to it. The first 40 get you to the funicular…

Our planned house will have about 80 steps. We will get fit until the funicular gets built. Once it has been built, there will be 24 steps until you step into the funicular. That’s the plan anyway. Unless the Lord builds the house, they that build it labour in vain.

It was quite fun doing this. We ended up having tea with David. Today I also had a long chat with Stacey. #HappyMom.

#782 of my 1000 thanks is for liquorice that Mike has gone out to buy. Sometimes a man has got to do what his wife needs him to do!

Psalm 119-89-90

Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; You established the earth and it endures.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • 14 minute warm up walk
  • The group exercise “Twenty-four” which was 24 harsh minutes.  It took about 27 minutes altogether. We did 8 exercises for 30 seconds each and rotated through the eight of them six times.  My heart rate was 151 at the end.
  • 3 minute cool down cycle
  • 15 minutes of different machines
