Load Shedding Over…For Now

What a great headline to read. A short while ago, I opened News 24 and saw this…

So hopefully there will be no load shedding tomorrow and into the new week. Hope so. Really, really hope so!

Turning on my laptop to do my blog is the first time I’ve turned on my computer today. It’s been a good rest day. I got up around 8am; we met Julian and David for breakfast. When we got home, Mike went to play golf and I did some housework and talked to Stacey for a while. Also had the chance to face time with my darling Grand-daughter. They are all well. Julian came round just before 1pm and we went for a drive through Simon’s Town and all the way round the Peninsula to Scarborough, where we stopped for tea. By the time we got home the electricity was on.

Mike arrived home from golf and this evening we went to one of our favourite restaurants – Sav at Harbour Bay.

It’s been a good day.

2 Corinthians 8:9

You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty He could make you rich.

This is one of the dichotomies of life. Poverty vss riches. True wealth does not lie in the size of your house or your bank balance. It has very little to do with worldly goods. True wealth lies in what you have stored up in heaven.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
