Last Day of Being 53

Tomorrow, when the date changes from 4th November to the 5th, I step from my early 50s into my mid-50s. A subtle but distinct change. I’m growing up!

Today I gave myself a number of gifts:

I went to church.

I lay in bed and read the paper.

I cleaned the kitchen, lounge and piano room.

I didn’t have to cook lunch – Freedom Foods did the job for us.

I swam 30 lengths. Yes. I went back to swimming with my new cap and goggles. The goggles are terrible. I think they are supposed to be for outdoor swimming. They are very dark for inside! I’ll wait and see if I can get used to them. Anyway it was good to be back in the pool. I’ll have to build up some swimming stamina again…

Mike and I watched a movie.

And it rained!

Mondays are always busy days, so tomorrow will be a quiet uneventful birthday. I will slip gently into 54 and enjoy being double David’s age, until March anyway.

#942 of my 1000 thanks is for something small and seemingly insignificant but I use it all the time. Tipp-ex!

1 Corinthians 22:13

You will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
