Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinet Wood Arrived

Monday

Today was the day…

I was at Echo by 8:30am waiting for the arrival of the wood for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I phoned the company and they said they were waiting for the driver. I had a meeting at 10:30am, so was glad they arrived at 9:45am. Our building team got to work bringing all the wood up and it got stored in the lounge…lots and lots of it…it took two hours to sort out.

We had lunch at home and in the afternoon, Mike set about making one of the cabinets for the bathrooms. We started with this…

Mike laid out the first pieces…

And we got to work…

And eventually we were able to see how it would look…we have some options with the drawers…

That was just experimenting. Tomorrow, Courage comes and he and Mike will start in earnest.

I’m not sure how long it will take them but I’ll post progress.

This evening we went to Dixies for dinner. We walked from Echo and walked back afterwards. On our way back, we could see emergency lights flashing on the Glencairn mountainside and we discovered it was a house on fire. So sorry to see it.

Blessed are those whose help is in the Lord their God.

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.
